On behalf of the Grand Rapids Board of Education's Legislative
Committee and the City High-Middle Education Advocacy Committee, you are invited to attend a community forum to learn more about and discuss the significant structural issues facing the state budget and public education system.

Forum on School Funding, State Taxes, and the State's Structural
Deficit
WHO: Special Presentation by Award-Winning Author and Economist Dr.
Charles Ballard.
Dr. Charles L. Ballard is a professor in the Department of Economics at
Michigan State University. He is a widely-published, award-winning
author and economist. He has served as a consultant with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Health & Human Services, and Treasury, and with research institutes in Australia, Denmark, and Finland. His latest book is Michigan at the Millennium and Michigan's Economic Future.
