The 2010 Auction Was An Amazing Success!

Friday night the City Community came together for a fabulous event, with preliminary estimates coming in at around $15,000 raised! Wayne Glatz, City PTSA President, will have more information about how the funds will be used to support the school's "City Vision."

We would like to extend a special thank you to San Chez Bistro for their generous support of the use of their venue and their generous donation toward the food menu. Tim Cusack entertained us as our Host and Auctioneer, and we thank him. We also want to thank all the numerous people that helped with donations, made donations, purchased tickets, bid, provided musical entertainment, volunteered their time to organize, set up, and run the auction! You were all instrumental in the Auction's success!

We also want to thank Kohl's Department Store that donated a $500 grant and provided volunteers. Please see the online catalog that lists all our generous donors; there are so many! We appreciate you all!

Sincerely,

City Nights, City Lights 2010 Auction Committee

Auction Donations NEEDED Please!

The City Nights, City Lights Auction is fast appoaching - March 26, 2010! Parents, we need your help by making a donation. We have several opportunities to help sponsor an auction item. Many City teachers have donated their time to spend with our students. For example... teachers taking a group of kids to go paint ball, Craig's Cruisers and dinner and a movie.

We need familes to make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation to help sponsor some of these events. OR, if you know of a business or individual that has a special talent they could donate, please don't hesitate to ask them if they would be willing to donate to this cause.

Please send your check to the City office. We appreciate your help in making this year's auction a success! If you need other ideas for auction donations, please contact kim_waalkes@yahoo.com

Thanks to everyone who has already donated to City PTSA's primary fundraiser!

The Auction Committee

City Nights....City Lights...City Auction March 14, 2009

Calling all parents to help support the PTSA's annual fundraiser....to make this the biggest and best event ever - we need your help!!

You've never worked on an auction? You're not sure how you can help? You don't have much time...no problem!
It's easy.....anywhere and everywhere you go is a donor opportunity.

First print a few of the donation letters http://www.cityptsa.com/PDFS/Business_Donor_Form_2008-09.pdf and keep them handy.

Then when you frequent local businesses, just ask if they'd be able to donate - a gift card or a product or service and give them a copy of the letter as a receipt.

Drop the donation at the school office.

Then the really fun part....
Invite your friends and family to come to the auction and join the bidding action at the silent auction tables and the live auction, enjoy the carnival games, tasty refreshments and entertainment.

Everything is set, all we need is you!

PTSA Payment and Deposit Vouchers now available!

Check out the "Fundraising" section of this website. On the right-hand side you will see General PTSA Forms, and beneath that, you should find Reimbursement Voucher and Deposit Voucher listings. Just click either of those and fill out the form as directed. If you need to know what part of the PTSA budget your item is related to, click the Current PTSA Budget listed there as well. Be sure to include receipts, invoices, etc., as directed by the forms. This will take the burden of chasing down this information from our Treasurer and ensure a faster turn around for reimbursements. If you have further questions on the forms or PTSA financial information, please contact our treasurer, Nick Duesbery, at cityptsatreasurer@mac.com. Thanks for making PTSA work for everyone!

City Lights...City Nights Auction Collections Under Way!

By far, the best school-wide event for fun and fundraising at City High/Middle School is the annual auction being held on March 14, 2009! Be sure to mark your calendar today!

At this early stage, the Auction Committee really needs help from all City High and Middle School parents to procure donations. Just print out donor forms, (available on the Fundraising page of this City PTSA web site) and hand them out over the Holiday Season to the businesses that you frequent. This is a great way for your favorite business to show their appreciation for your support and patronage over the years. Also, ask your family, friends and neighbors for a contribution. Maybe they need to re-gift a certain Christmas gift or two that just wasn't quite right for them (no stale fruit cakes, please)!

Here are just a few of the donations that are rolling in...
