Start the Art With Reflections...

The 2010 Reflections Art Program kicks off this fall to showcase City's talent in the following categories: art, literature, photography, music composition, dance choreography, film/animation. We need teachers and volunteers to help us start the art in City households. Here's how you can help:
TEACHERS: Especially Art, English, Broadcast, and Music teachers...find a way to incorporate the Reflections program into your curriculum FOR GRADES or as extra credit assignments. The theme this year is "BEAUTY IS..." What a great way to teach outside the box! Contact katem@what-if.com for a rule set or additional information. Projects are due right before the Christmas break.
VOLUNTEERS: We're looking for parents on two fronts. The first is to host/create an art or entertainment exhibit this spring that showcases our entrants. The second way is to nominate your own children and their friends as "Most Likely to Art." In other words, encourage kids to create and submit. For details, watch the REFLECTIONS category of the Message Center in coming weeks.
